Creating With The Divine Workshop #3: Embracing Your Divine Path

*August 22, 2023*

Hey there, welcome to the August workshop, the third in a series of four. I’m Janine Bolon, and I’m excited to dive into the heart of our creative journey with you. Today, we’re exploring the insightful wisdom found in chapters five and six of “Creating with the Divine, a collaborative work by Reno Longmoons and myself. We believe in guiding you chapter by chapter, unraveling the profound teachings within this book that offer an avenue to manifest your deepest desires. In this session, let’s explore the essence of chapters five and six, revealing the art of shaping your life alongside the divine.

Chapter five invites us to introspectively ask ourselves, “What do you want?” Often, in this fast-paced world, we can pinpoint what we don’t want but struggle to articulate our true desires. My background in teaching financial independence and debt-free living has taught me that this question is profound. People tend to shy away from the intricate details of their aspirations. They know their dislikes more than their aspirations, focusing on the negative. But understanding your aspirations is pivotal for personal growth and happiness.

As part of this chapter, there’s a downloadable resource available starting on page 44, complete with a QR code for easy access. It’s a six-page document that will guide you through the journey of understanding what you truly want. It’s based on twelve questions carefully curated from my years of experience as a teacher and coach. These questions help uncover the experiences you long for. For example, “Where do you wish to travel?” might trigger a journey into your past, revealing reasons behind your hesitations and fears about travel. Our past experiences often inadvertently shape our desires, so addressing these patterns is vital.

“What type of job, work, or activity would you like to do each day?” This is a powerful inquiry that unveils your true passions. So many people toil in jobs they detest. I encourage you to understand the deeper reasons behind these feelings and explore your true desires. What kind of work aligns with your soul?

Imagine a perfect day. What would it look like, and how would you spend your time? This isn’t just about material possessions; it’s about activities that bring you joy, harmony, and authenticity. Recognize that your desires may be different from others’, and that’s perfectly fine. It’s about embracing what lights up your spirit.

Furthermore, consider your appearance in your ideal life. Your physical self is an integral part of this journey. Maybe it’s growing your hair out, experimenting with new styles, or embracing a healthier lifestyle. Your outer reflection often mirrors the changes happening within.

On page three, we explore things you want to do. These are the experiences you want to gather, the moments that make life extraordinary. It could be as adventurous as going rock climbing, which for some is a meditative experience that anchors them in the present, or as simple as indulging in a quiet coloring session, like a friend of mine who finds solace in coloring by an oil lamp. These activities hold powerful insights into your soul’s desires.

Now, picture the people you admire. It could be historical figures, mentors, family members, or even fictional characters. What characteristics of theirs resonate with you? These qualities are likely reflections of your own potential. Let them guide your path to self-discovery.

Chapter six deepens the introspection, encouraging us to be our own decision-makers. Life presents us with countless choices, and tapping into our inner wisdom leads to sound decisions. As you offer advice to others, listen closely, because often your own guidance can change your life. You’re your own best counselor. Embrace this idea without hesitation.

A crucial exercise from this chapter is looking in the mirror and saying, “I love you.” This act of self-love can be transformative, especially for those who give endlessly but struggle to love themselves. Remember that you are worthy of love and that self-love is not narcissism; it’s a key to your well-being.

As we stand at the brink of the fall gate, it’s time to create space in our lives for new opportunities. The harvest season is upon us, and the act of decluttering—both physically and emotionally—prepares us for the new gifts that lie ahead. As you embark on this journey, keep in mind that embracing change is akin to moving furniture around, crafting your life’s design, and nurturing your divine path.

To help in this process, refresh your vision board, or create one if you haven’t yet. This visual representation of your desires serves as a daily reminder of your goals and aspirations. Place it somewhere you frequent, where it can offer a regular dose of inspiration.

As we wrap up this session, remember that each chapter in our lives is a stepping stone to realizing our dreams. Embrace the questions posed here, and let them guide you toward uncovering your true desires and designing a life that resonates with your authentic self. You’re not merely a spectator in your life; you’re a co-creator with the divine. So, seize the power within you and embark on this incredible journey of self-discovery, manifestation, and divine alignment.
